I was here and I’m having the best time of my young life. So far this week is the best thing I ever did. – August 2010.
This place is really cool. I really like the pool and the hot tub. Also I really like the big TV in the room by the kitchen. - Age 10, July 2009.
This is a really nice place. I love the pool, the hot tub, the kitchen and living room on the third floor. The volleyball court, the bathroom on the staircase, the amazing view, and the beach just down the block. I love it because it is so different from where I live and my house. The occasion was a “significant” birthday, a reason to unite the family in one location for a few days of love, laughter and catching up with each other. The result is a lifetime of memories. For some it was seeing the ocean for the first time to watch in awe a school of dolphins, to laugh & run from jelly fish. To recall favorite childhood memories and create new ones. Most importantly for me it was the first evening when I looked down the dinner table and saw all the people I love in good health and good cheer gathered together. The beauty of the Outer Banks has been captured in your beautiful home and the design and amenities make it the perfect home for sharing meals, swimming and late night whispers. Dear Jorge and Susannah, This is a most wonderfully designed home … especially for the multi-generational family that we are! Rob and I have four adult children with spouses and three grandchildren who all enjoyed each other’s company. This home lends itself to quality time, both with others and alone! :) Your kitchen, dining, living area is well-equipped and user friendly! We ate “in” every night and found everything we needed. The pool was clean and refreshing and the grandchildren loved the pirate playhouse! Thank you for allowing us to visit this beautiful homestead! Reading, PA, 7/22/2011
So … there are a bunch of guys who met each other 15 years ago in college. Everyone lives in different states and countries now. The guys now have wives and girfriends. The guys now have toddlers and babies on the way. But they are a tight group, these men from Villanova. We had a week vacation in the Outer Banks – Eleven of us … We played in the pool, slept on the beach, ate dinners together around the table every night & went out for red wine, every night. We jammed to music, read trashy magazines, played golf, ran the dunes and searched for wild horses. But most of all, we spent time together, we laughed. We created bonds, pictures & quotes. This is the end of our all too short week’s holiday –Our family reunion. It included California, Maryland, New York, and Switzerland family members. We were blessed with great weather, the kids (and grown-ups) were thrilled with the beautiful beach. Not to mention the well-used pool! Good company, great meals and lots of fun for all. 7/2/2011

Jorge & Susannah, Thanks for letting us share your home! The weather was great all week – except for the smoke that occasionally drifted from Roanoke Island. We can’t wait to come back again next year – the house was perfect for our size family. We enjoyed many of the amenities such as volleyball, swimming, hot tub, basketball, & badminton. This was a great place for our whole family (18 of us) to stay together for a whole week. All four of our children and their children and spouses – from PA – DE – WI and TN. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with our family. We all had a great vacation. There was plenty of room for all and the amenities make traveling so much easier. The kitchen was fully stocked and functional for the adults and the movie selection was great for the kids. We spent countless hours on the volleyball court and the Pirate Ship was a hit with our toddler. The weather was great compared to home in Vermont where it was snowing!! We loved our time on the OBX and hope to return someday. – April 2010
This was a multi-family vacation and we were blessed with this large comfortable home and hot (80 – 89 degree) weather. The kids “lived” in the play room and pool and the adults spent our afternoons on the second floor veranda! Dinners and breakfasts around the large table were happy moments. Thank you for the lovely week. We had a great time at the beach and on the bike trails. We spent time seeing the local attractions such as Kitty Hawk and Roanoke Island. The location here is great for sightseeing and the beach. We appreciate all the amenities in the house as well as how clean everything was. We have enjoyed our stay here at this house. We appreciate all the extra items that are kept here.
